The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals has named Madonna the worst-dressed celebrity of 2009, reports Usmagazine.com.

“When you see Madonna in fur, you realize why nobody has copied her style since 1984,” says PETA about her. “We know that she’s on the prowl for a young cub, but someone needs to tell her that wearing fur doesn’t make you a cougar.”

Madonna isn’t the only one targeted by the animal rights group. They’re also focusing on former child stars Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.
The men aren’t ignored either. Kanye West “rants about not winning Album of the Year at the Grammy Awards, but what he really deserves is a ‘lifetime bereavement award’ for all the corpses in his closet.

Others on the fur-wearing hit list are “Dark Knight” star Maggie Gyllenhaal, Elizabeth Hurley, Mary J. Blige, Kate Moss and husband and wife team Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore.

Following her cheap and cheerful clothing line for H&M, Madonna is now working on a trendy fashion range.

She’s teamed up with designer-of-the-moment Ed Hardy - the Godfather of Tattoo.

Brand owner Christian Audigier, who is designing an outfit for Michael Jackson’s comeback tour, approached Madonna after spotting her wearing Ed’s tattoo-print clothes.

He offered a six-figure deal and put on a private catwalk show to inspire Madonna, telling her to “Express Yourself”.

But he needn’t have worried. Madonna, 50, thinks Christian is a true fashion innovator and jumped at the chance to work with him.

She visited his LA office just days before the Oscars and is finalising the designs as we speak, including tattoo-inspired T-shirts and diamante-encrusted bodices.

Diamond or sapphire facials utilize a gem-tipped tool aggressively scrubs the skin, sloughing off layers of skin cells.

A doctor from the University of Pittsburgh Cosmetic Surgery and Skin Health Center says, “Usually patients will leave the office looking red and shiny because a layer of skin has been removed. It doesn’t look like anything more aggressive — she wouldn’t have been healed and able to put on makeup by the next day.”

A Mount Sinai doc believes Madonna has had fractional resurfacing.

“It tightens the skin, takes away wrinkles, and tightens pores. Her skin looks great — no sunspots, it’s supple, not tight, so it doesn’t have that pulled look, which is indicative of a facial treatment as opposed to surgery.”

And both docs agree - Botox is definitely in use. “She’s had Botox, which gives her that nice, flared eyebrow,” said the Mount Sinai expert.

The temperatures plummeted in New York last night, but it wasn’t enough to cool Madonna’s new red hot romance.

She braved the freezing conditions for an intimate date with her toyboy Brazilian lover Jesus Luz, 22.

She wrapped herself up in a leather jacket with fur-trimmed neck, but was the close presence of the blue-eyed model that seemed to create her warm glow.

Madonna and Guy are still wrangling over arrangements for their children,The Times has learnt.

Earlier reports that everything was swiftly agreed are wide of the mark.

The pair had been thought to have agreed a compromise in which the two boys, Rocco, 8, and David, 3, would divide their time between Britain and the US. Madonna’s daughter Lourdes, 12, would continue to live with her mother.

However, the pop star and her former husband cannot agree on where Rocco should go to school, with Mr Ritchie, 40, favouring England and Madonna the US.

Peter Jackson, QC, a barrister specialising in children’s cases, is advising on arrangements for the children.

The couple hired two of Britain’s most highly sought-after family lawyers: Fiona Shackleton acted for the pop star, with Lady Ward, the wife of a Court of Appeal judge, acting for Mr Ritchie. They were divorced in a “quickie” hearing in November at the High Court.

The film director was reported to have taken no money, to avoid an unseemly public wrangle.

Subsequent reports indicated that, even if no lump sum were involved, the assets that he retained, including the couple’s country estate in Wiltshire, amounted to some £50 million.

Madonna has embarked on a January salmon ‘retox’ regime to “knock 12 years off her appearance”.

Madonna is so determined to make herself look younger she has enlisted the help of health experts who have devised a new programme for her packed with the oily fish.

A source said: “The new ‘retox’ means she has got a more cardio-intensive gym regime and a diet overhaul. She will also be eating a lot more salmon as it’s got age-defying properties. Her aim is to knock 12 years off her appearance.”

It has also previously been claimed Madonna spends $120,000 a year on bottles of specially blessed Kabbalah water, believed to have properties which keep the drinker looking fresh and young.

A source close to Madonna said: “Madonna drinks a lot of water - that’s one of her fitness secrets. And Kabbalah water is the only stuff she will touch.”

Madonna isn’t the only celebrity obsessed with the healthy properties of salmon.

Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher eats the fish every day because it keeps him trim.

The rocker - who refers to himself as the ‘Salmon King’ - said: “I’m always banging away at the fish man. My top three fish are salmon at number one, sea bass at two and sardines are third.

Madonna is facing a major fall-out with her kabbalah leaders who are demanding an immediate out of court settlement to her divorce from Guy.

Rabbi Berg, the most senior kabbalah member and her spiritual leader, has instructed her that the ongoing mudslinging and prospect of a court battle between the sect’s two most high-profile members could badly damage its image.

Berg has now given Madonna a 24-hour deadline to come back to him with a plan to mediate towards a swift divorce resolution using a round-table of kabbalah leaders chaired by him.

‘Rabbi Berg’s ultimate hope would be a reconciliation.

‘But that seems rather a distant hope so at best he would like to put an end to the public raking over of their marriage,’ said a source close to the couple.

Madonna however is said to be torn with the idea, thinking that if they go to kabbalah mediation at this point, she will be persuaded to part with a substantial amount of her wealth and also may lose out in having to give Guy a larger share of custody of their son Rocco, seven, and David, three.

‘Kabbalah’s view on this would be that it as far as family is concerned, it’s only money. Guy would get a lot more than if their lawyers were slugging it out.

‘Kabbalah might also give Guy better access than British law might. Let us not to forget that Guy and Rabbi Berg were also very close.

‘Guy really studied kabbalah. There was a feeling in certain quarters that Madonna’s interest in kabbalah was linked more to her ego.

‘Guy on the other hand was more interested in the fundamentals of it, in dissecting it. Consequently he had a much greater intellectual bond with the kabbalah leaders.’

The actual announcement about Madonna and Guy´s split may be yesterday’s news, but the obsession over the marriage’s demise is anything but—with no less than three mags making it their cover stories this week. And given some of the nastier details being reported, we can certainly understand why.

“She would taunt Guy, saying, ‘I should have married someone like me: strong, hot-blooded, intelligent, ambitious, spiritual,’ ” a source for Guy tells Us Weekly. “Their fights would often get heated. A few times Madonna slapped him or poked him.”

Well, Guy apparently didn’t take very kindly to such comments and is said to have had a few choice words of his own…

“Guy called her old, fat, ugly and wrinkled and said that she was stupid and couldn’t sing,” a friend from the Madonna camp reveals to Us.

Over at OK!, a source close to Guy thinks Madonna has “instructed her team to start a hate campaign” against her soon-to-be ex. (Although it’s probably safe to assume the pop icon had nothing to do with the report in the U.K.’s News of the World about Guy supposedly admitting that sex with her was like “cuddling up to a piece of gristle.”)

Meanwhile, People reports that for Guy, being with someone like Madonna was, quite simply, draining.

“She was more about being a celebrity and he was more low-key. He wanted to live in London and live a normal life, but that’s impossible when you’re married to Madonna,” says a source for both sides. A Madonna pal adds, “She was always first when it came to her husband or herself, and that really took a toll on Guy. There was only so much he could put up with.”

Trudie Styler, who introduced Madonna and Guy at a lunch party at her Wiltshire mansion in 1998, reveals that she trusts the duo to be mature and get along well for the sake of their children. “They´re both big enough people to become great friends in time, and I am sure they will for the sake of the kids, if nothing else. I wish them both well, I love them both, they´re dear friends, but sometimes good things come to an end”.
