Sequel to “In Bed With Madonna”?

Madonna is reportedly set to mark her 50th birthday by releasing a sequel to her infamous ‘In Bed with Madonna’ documentary next year.
She will produce the documentary with filmmaker Alex Keshishian, who directed the controversial 1991 movie, to celebrate her continued success in the music industry.
The film will act as a reunion for Madonna - she has reportedly signed up most of the original production team for the new venture.
Keshishian is set to film the superstar over three weeks as she goes about her day-to-day life in London, according Britain’s The London Paper.
A source tells the publication: “It’s like an ‘In Bed With Madonna’ but made for today. She leads an amazing, high-paced life now and Alex thought the time was right to do another documentary of her life and career.”
The original documentary followed the star as she embarked on her hit ‘1990 Blonde Ambition’ tour, and proved a hit with fans, grossing €18.4m at the global box office.

Madonna´s adoption finally approved
A Malawian court ruled on Wednesday that Madonna may formally adopt the baby boy she took home from an orphanage in the impoverished southern African nation, a lawyer for the U.S. pop star said.
“We are very happy with what the judge has ruled. It is a positive and beautiful judgment that will have an impact on Malawi’s adoption laws,” Malawian lawyer Alan Chinula told Reuters.
The High Court judge issued the ruling privately in chambers in Lilongwe in the company of lawyers. It was expected to be made public on Wednesday.
Madonna´s handbag sold for 471.000
Madonna’s Chanel handbag raked in almost 500,000 dollars at a charity auction at the Cannes Film Festival. Her black alligator-skin diamond bag was sold to a mystery buyer for a whooping 471,000 dollars, making it more valuable than even a smooch with Hollywood icon George Clooney that was sold for 300,000 dollars, reports Contactmusic.
Actress Sharon Stone donated 100,000 dollars as personal donation and auctioned her own vintage Porsche 911 Targa for 810,00 dollars (GBP405,000). The event hosted by the ‘Material Girl’ herself managed to fetch 10 million dollars for amfAR’s life-saving Aids research programs.

Madonna tickets sell out fast
Sold out seems to be the current tagline for Madonna’s upcoming tour ticket sales.
In Zurich, roughly 47,000 tickets were sold in only three hours for the August 30th concert. This will be Madonna’s very first performance in Switzerland. For those who missed the first wave of ticket sales, hope is not completely lost on seeing the pop diva live.
Another sale of 23,000 tickets will be available later but according to Good News Productions, 10,000 of the total tickets are reserved for people living near the venue at Duebendorf. Ticket prices range from 150 to 300 Swiss francs (140 to 286 USD) and include domestic rail travel.
Vancouver also reports hot ticket sales. Tickets to the October 30th concert went on sale on Saturday, May 24th, at 10 in the morning. Just twenty minutes later, only single seats were available. Ticket scalpers left no time to waste and a pair of floor seats was reported to be on sale through Craigslist for a thousand dollars.
Madonna’s Confessions tour earned her the title of highest-earning tour for a female artist. Sticky and Sweet just might break a new record.
Michael Moore likes Madonna´s film
Madonna’s new film on the impoverished nation of Malawi has wowed another maker of documentaries: Michael Moore.
Moore announced Thursday that Madonna, like himself a Michigan native, will appear for a screening of “I Am Because We Are” during the Traverse City Film Festival on Aug. 2.
“She’s sort of entered my realm,” Moore said. “When I saw it, I thought, ‘Wow, it’s like she’s been making these films for years.’”
Madonna produced and narrated the documentary after traveling to Malawi, where she met the toddler David Banda, whom she and Guy are adopting.
“I Am Because We Are” illustrates the poverty that children of the southern African country face, how the AIDS crisis is claiming lives, and the conditions that cause disease and other misery there. But the film urges people to volunteer and tries to offer hope.
Madonna feels good about ageing

Madonna is embracing the ageing process, insisting she is only just reaching the peak of her attractiveness at 49.
The singer feels fitter, more toned and more attractive than she has ever been as she approaches her 50th birthday in August.
She explains: “I like the way I look better now. My thighs aren’t as chubby. I’m not kidding. I’m being perfectly honest.”
However, Madonna insists she has never thought of herself as a natural beauty: “I see myself as practical and handsome, and useful. I don’t think of myself as a great beauty. But I think of myself as stylish.”
The Material Girl also reveals she never gets nostalgic and feels the need to look back at images of her past: “I don’t look at old pictures of myself. I don’t look at pictures of myself from last week. Once I’ve approved of them, they’re gone.”

Madonna auctions off gig
Madonna auctioned off the promise of a private gig yesterday (May 22) for 350,000 Euros (£280,000).
Two winning bidders, who auction organisers have not revealed the identities of, will receive an audience with the singer backstage at a forthcoming gig. Madonna will sing two songs for them.
The auction where Madonna sold the gig promise was the annual Cinema Against AIDS gala in Cannes. Before making the offer of the gig Madonna joked: “People have offered me millions to play at their Bar Mitzvahs.”

Adoption process has been hard on Madonna

Madonna on Thursday said her efforts to adopt a child in Malawi and the ridicule she faced in the press had been as difficult as childbirth, but she was confident of soon winning permanent custody.
Madonna and Sharon looking incredible
Madonna and Sharon Stone look incredible as they step out on the red carpet in Cannes - with a combined age of 99.
The blonde stars, dressed stunningly in black, looked more like 20-something sisters as they hugged and smiled. An onlooker said: “It’s amazing. You’d never guess they’re middle-aged.”
Basic Instinct actress Sharon turned 50 in March and Madonna celebrates her half century in August.
Maybe the pals, who have six children between then, were swapping age-defying beauty tips as they chatted and giggled.

But however they manage it, there’s no doubt they looked great at last night’s premiere of Madge’s documentary about orphans in Malawi.

Madonna for Malawi
Madonna wowed fans on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival yesterday in a sequinned black Chanel dress.
She was debuting her new documentary I Am Because We Are, which aims to raise awareness about orphans in Malawi.
‘This is a film I want the world to see,’ Madonna, 49, said with tears in her eyes.
‘To say that this film is a labour of love is trivial. It’s also the journey of a lifetime. I hope you all are as inspired watching it as I was making it.’
Her adopive son David Banda, 2, is from the poverty-stricken African country.
